Rosewood's Junior League Masquerade Gala is the perfect setting for "A's" next game of cat and mouse with his/her favorite targets. But with Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer fast on his/her heels, will this game be "A's" last?

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer search for the meaning of new clues leads them to a doll hospital that holds some very familiar looking dolls and a little boy that knows more than he leads onto. But what would bring Ali to such a creepy and weird location on her hunt for "A?" And what can the four girls learn about the secrets that are stashed away on the shelves between forgotten playmates?

Meanwhile, Jenna's surgery brings about more than just the possibility of regaining her sight.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are on the quest for answers of what Alison knew before she died and they might have just gotten a big lead when someone from Alison's past appears. Duncan might hold the key to all of the girls' answers, but can they trust him to let down their guard? And just when they feel like Duncan may be the only lead, Jason drops off a bag of Alison's personal items that could be more than just a bag of junk.

Meanwhile, Toby's return to Rosewood brings a surprise reunion that ends dangerously.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have been the target of "A's" games for awhile, leaving them emotionally cut off from their families and friends. But when a surprising new victim of "A" is revealed, the PLLs tight-knit group may just get one person larger. But what is "A's" motive of targeting someone outside of Alison's group of besties?

Meanwhile, Spencer runs from her family troubles right into Wren's arms, as Ezra's new opportunity could push him away from Aria.

Caleb's involvement in cracking "A's" phone has had Hanna worried from day one and now "A" is determined to punish him for it. With Det. Wilden and Garrett now circling Caleb on bogus hacking charges and in possession of his computer, Hanna and her friends are convinced that this won't end well. What are the police looking for on Caleb's computer and better yet, would could "A" have possibly planted on the computer to interest the police this much? Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer may soon get another example of what happens to people they involve in "A's" game.

Meanwhile, Aria learns what Holden's been keeping a secret as Byron starts to question the relationship.

Rosewood High’s "Truth-Up Day," is not just an opportunity for the students of the school to air their grievances and stop bullying, but also a chance for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer to get answers to some burning questions. Spencer looks to find answers on what is going on between Jason and her father when Jason shows up as a chaperone; Aria continues to question Holden on what exactly he is up to during their "date nights," and Hanna tries to figure out the latest situation with Kate. But will the girls be ready for what they find out when shocking truths are revealed?

Meanwhile, Emily gets help from an unlikely source to get back on the Rosewood swim team.

After putting her foot down about Caleb with her friends, Hanna begins to feel that she is getting the cold shoulder from them. Aria, Emily and Spencer seem to be up to something, but she can't quite seem to figure out what it is. But what Hanna may take as the cold shoulder, could really be just a case of guilty consciences from her friends. And if her best friends avoiding her weren't enough, Kate's first day at Rosewood High is looming. Now that her evil step-sister is invading Hanna's space, she needs her friends more than ever.

Meanwhile, Emily hopes that her mother's visit to Rosewood will be a good opportunity to re-introduce her to Maya and have a better outcome this time.

The best way to get to someone is through the people they love, and "A" knows this better than anyone. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have had to sacrifice a lot at the gloved hands of "A," especially when it comes to love. Toby continues to pursue Spencer, knowing that she is keeping something from him. With another "accident" possibly popping up at any minute, Spencer is desperate to keep Toby safe and can think of only way to truly end it. Also worried about her relationship, Hanna begs the other girls to stop using Caleb to help with their search. The more involved Caleb gets, the bigger target he becomes. But is the valuable information Caleb is finding more important to the others than Caleb's safety?

Meanwhile, Aria is desperate to save her relationship with Ezra still not returning her calls. Will one more "date" with Holden give Aria the opportunity to get the answer from Ezra she is longing for?

With Lucas missing and questions surrounding what happened out on the lake, Hanna can barely catch her breath. With Caleb determined to find his friend, Hanna's reluctance to help only causes more problems. Can Hanna really tell Caleb what happened in the boat without tipping him off to her larger "A" problem? And if she did tell him, would he be willing to stick around after hearing all the horrible things Hanna has done?

Meanwhile, Spencer follows a lead about "A" which guides her to an unexpected place and revelation.

After their recent encounter with "A," Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out whom "A" really is. But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb's hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and also to open the door to questions that Hanna can't answer. Once the girls realize that "A" has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the "helper" is, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer's lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster?

A month has passed on "Pretty Little Liars" since Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were arrested and a lot has changed in Rosewood, and with the girls. No longer the mighty four best friends, the Liars are at each others' throats and Emily has been iced out completely. But what could have divided them so severely? Has "A" finally won the game of divide and conquer? With Emily now truly on her own, is she ripe for "A's" picking?

The streets of Rosewood are festive and little kids are running around the streets hoping for a good year of trick or treats and five best friends are looking forward to the biggest party of the season. It is the Halloween before Alison went missing and the only concern for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer is to score an invite to Noel Khan's Halloween party. But with a new girl in town to challenge Ali for Queen Bee dominance, Spencer possibly losing the class president election along with her parents' approval, and a shocking revelation for Aria about her father - there may be more to worry about than finding the perfect costume. With all of the tricks and treats floating around Rosewood, there may be something more sinister waiting out there for Ali and her best friends.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have made a crucial mistake - they told someone about "A" and now they must pay the price. With the clock ticking and "A" calling the shots, the girls are sent on missions to do "A's" bidding in order to save their trusted confidant. Each mission will ultimately lead to what the four liars want the most, but at a costly price to their loved ones and themselves. After being pushed around, threatened and more by "A," Emily is at a breaking point and her friends know that something drastic has to be done to save her. The girls turn to the only person they have come to trust and know that she can't let their secrets out - Dr. Anne Sullivan. Finally being able to reveal the torment that "A" has put them through to someone outside of the tight-knit group gives the girls a sense of relief and Emily a new sense of courage. But with the cat being out of the bag, has a weight really been lifted off their shoulders, or could it possibly have just provoked a beast? And now that Dr. Sullivan is aware of "A" and what the girls have been put through, could she be next on "A's" target list?

Meanwhile, Hanna's grandmother comes to town to stir up trouble for Tom's rehearsal dinner.

Aria finds herself in a difficult position when trying to process Spencer and Emily's news about Jason, while dealing with what happened at the park and her undeniable feelings for him. How could Jason be the dangerous person that her friends say he is, when he has shown nothing but compassion and vulnerability to her? With Aria waffling on her stance on Jason, Spencer decides drastic times call for drastic measures. But will Spencer's actions help Aria to see Jason for who Spencer thinks he really is, or only push Aria closer to Jason? Hanna finds herself in a different kind of prickly situation when she tries to play nice with her future step-sister, Kate, only to have things go horribly wrong.

Meanwhile, 'A' turns up the heat on Emily by trying to push her to a breaking point.

Since Jason DiLaurentis came back to Rosewood, there have been a lot of questions about him. Some don't trust him and are suspicious of his motives for returning, while others see him in a different light. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are no different. Spencer is determined to find out what Jason is hiding at his house and decides to finally get some answers. With Emily in tow, Spencer makes her move - but are she and Emily ready to deal with what they find out? Aria, on the other hand, can't seem to get Jason off her mind for a different reason. With Jason continuing to pop up in Aria's life, will she be able to resist their undeniable chemistry?

Meanwhile, Hanna helps Caleb with a difficult decision about his family, which in turn could help put her relationship with her father into perspective.

Emily has been juggling a lot of secrets and lies lately, and with a surprise visit from her father before a big swim meet, the pressure gets to be too much for her - sending her to the hospital. But with the prospect of having to come clean to her father about Danby, Emily realizes she has bigger problems when "A" reveals his/her part in Emily's swim career. While visiting Emily, Spencer and Aria take the opportunity to try and do more digging around about the cause of Alison's death and how the broken field hockey stick may play a part in the last few moments of their friend's life.

Meanwhile, Hanna struggles with the prospect of losing both men in her life when her father's wedding "Save the Date" arrives, and the possibility of Caleb running out of Rosewood before his past can come back to haunt him.

Its moving day for Emily, and with a new place to call home, she is feeling more like a guest than part of the family. Hanna is also feeling uneasy, but for her it is in regard to Caleb's continued shady "business" dealings and his nonchalant attitude about it. And when Toby makes a surprising discovery, Spencer is thrown for a loop by the find and her father's reaction to it. With the girls already on edge, could they be sitting targets for "A's" next move? Or does "A" have bigger plans for the four and is just making them wait?

Meanwhile, Aria is put in a tricky position when both Ezra and Jason are invited to the Montgomery dinner party and vie for her attention when the soiree goes awry.

On the eve of the Rosewood Charity Fashion Show, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are surprised with Jessica DiLaurentis' return to town and her request that they participate in the show on Alison's behalf. Aria takes up the opportunity to try and help jog Jason's memory of the night Ali disappeared, as Hanna starts to get her hopes up that her father's attendance may mean more than he's letting on. Spencer, on the other hand, quickly learns that, while she has been dealing with larger issues, Mona has stepped in and taken charge of running the event. As the charity event gets closer, walking down a runway in a fancy gown may not seem that hard, but nothing is ever easy for four pretty little liars.

As the shocking news about Ian makes the rounds through Rosewood, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer and their families all try to cope with the outcome and some much needed closure. With her home life particularly in turmoil, Spencer stays focused on her family and the surprising support she gets from her parents. Emily, on the other hand, can't seem to find the closure that others are relishing, but rather digs her heels in to find any shred of evidence they may have over looked. And Aria looks to find comfort in Ezra, but with their relationship still new to the outside world, the couple struggles to be so public so fast. With everyone looking for comfort and sharing a huge sigh of relief, could Emily be right and the devil they think has been put to rest is nowhere near the evil that still looms out there, just waiting for the Liars to get theirs?

Meanwhile, Hanna gets a surprising look into Caleb's life after his shady foster mother surfaces.

After getting Lucas a date with his new dream girl, Hanna feels the need to help him out when Lucas starts to unravel as the date swiftly approaches. But when Caleb is thrown into the mix and Hanna's idea of what is helpful starts to backfire, Lucas' date takes a downward turn. With her mother blaring to the world about her scholarship commitment, Emily is at the edge of spilling the truth behind the fake letter. But with some help from a surprisingly supportive Samara, maybe the situation isn't as dire as Emily once thought. Spencer, on the other hand, is certain that the situation with Melissa and her mysterious communication with Ian is only getting more serious, and Spencer feels that Wren may be the only one who can finally help give her the answers she is looking for. But is Spencer, and the other Liars, ready for what they might find at the end of the search?

Meanwhile, Aria has a chance encounter with Jason that brings back some surprising memories.

As Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer try to keep their distance from each other, each girl looks to distractions to help fulfill the "separate time" request from their parents. Aria channels her inner artist and signs up for a pottery class at Hollis College. Not only does the class qualify as "separate time," but it also gives her an excuse to see Ezra on campus, so there are benefits on both sides -- that is until she finds out Jenna is also taking the class. Emily stays focused on her swimming career and how that could help her stay in Rosewood. When she doesn't get the solid commitment from Danby University, Emily comes up with a way to fudge things to convince her mom to stay. But will goody-two-shoes Emily be able to go through with her sneaky plan? Feeling like the only one who doesn't have a hobby, Hanna turns to Lucas to see if she can join the yearbook staff to fill her time. But with Lucas still hurting from their last encounter, Hanna's new hobby might be trying to make amends.

With the girls being forced to go their separate ways for a bit, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer need each other now more than ever. Emily struggles with her family's impending move to Texas, but when a college athletic scout approaches her after a swim meet, she sees an opportunity that could keep her in Rosewood. Hanna's father returns to town; with her friends at arm's length, will she forgive Mona so she has someone to lean on? And Spencer tries to be supportive of Toby's new plans to free himself of his family and Rosewood.

Meanwhile, on the eve of Ezra's last day at Rosewood High, he begs Aria to meet him so they can work things out. Aria, on the other hand, is not so sure there's anything left to say. But is she really ready to say goodbye to Mr. Fitz for good?

With all eyes in Rosewood looking at Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, the girls are forced to seek help.

Now that Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are in possession of the information that Alison left them, the girls decide that it's time to finally put an end to "A" and the mystery surrounding their friend. But without certain proof that their hunch is right, how can the girls catch "A" in his/her own game? And with little more than a video and hazy memories of the night that Alison disappeared, the Liars may have to turn to an unlikely source of information to help them put a stop to "A" once and for all – or so they think.

Everyone has something to hide – whether it be a secret romance, who they really are and what their true intentions are. For Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer, keeping things hidden is second nature, but having to live with those secrets can become a big burden. How long can Aria be with someone when they can't go out in public? Is it a true friendship when Spencer and Toby aren't able to be seen together? How truthful can Emily be when she can't be honest about whom she wants to be with? And how can Hanna move on when she secretly still wants to be with the one who broke her heart? Meanwhile, Rosewood police officer Garrett Reynolds is keeping his promise to keep a close eye on the girls – much closer than they realize.

Meanwhile, secret relationships take a toll on some of the Liars while others blossom. Love is not for the faint of heart.

As their doubts, fears and suspicions grow, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer start to wonder what the true face of evil looks like. Is it the girl who holds a grudge and will do anything to keep her loved ones near? Is it the new brother-in-law who might have a darker side beneath the surface? Or is it an unknown stranger who is playing puppet master with four girls' lives? Only time will tell who the Bad Seed is. Meanwhile, Aria sees the school play as an opportunity to get closer to Ezra. But will her plan backfire and put her relationship in jeopardy?

A crucial swim meet for the Rosewood Sharks is the setting for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer to experience a lot of turmoil. Emily and Paige (Lindsey Shaw) go for round two, as they are pitted against each other to compete for the anchor leg of the big race. And Caleb calls in his favor with a guilty Hanna as she tries to deter Aria from asking too many questions about Ella’s ticket to the museum opening. As secrets start to be revealed and antagonists become less threatening, will this become a game changer for the girls? Meanwhile, Spencer takes on the task of tutoring a fellow student to try and get some answers.

The girls try to resume a sense of normalcy in their lives, but even the simple tasks of dating and extra-circular activities meet with strife. Emily must deal with a jealous teammate (Lindsey Shaw) who is threatened by Emily’s return to the pool, as Aria and Ezra plan their first date out in the open. And Hanna is still stuck playing “A’s” game, but the next hurdle might just have complications for another Liar. With “A” pulling the strings and making matters worse, will the girls be able to weather the storm and lie their way out of it, or will they have to face the ugly truths? Meanwhile, Spencer turns to Ali’s brother, Jason, for information about the night they believe Alison died, only to have to face part of her unpleasant past with Ali.

As the school gets ready for the dance-a-thon, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have more on their minds than raising money for the school trip to Washington, DC. Hanna is having a hard time finding a job to help her family's financial situation, but when "A" has a job for her, will Hanna be able to refuse? Emily can only think of Maya and is desperate to speak to her -- so much so that she enlists the help of Caleb, the new bad boy in the school. And as an important piece of property goes missing, Spencer finds being in close quarters with her new brother-in-law, Ian, more difficult than ever. Meanwhile, Aria's former babysitter, Simone, comes back to town for a surprise visit. But what should be a happy reunion quickly becomes a nightmare for Aria when Simone sets her sights on Ezra.

Relationships are in flux in Rosewood, PA as the Liars face many obstacles. As Noel steps up his pursuit of Ezra and what he can gain from his knowledge, Aria and Ezra start to feel like there may be no way out. Emily must also deal with opposition to her love life, as her mother Pam's perceived tolerance of Maya comes to a screeching halt. And Spencer must now handle the return of happy newlyweds Melissa and Ian, even though her suspicions of Ian's ties to Alison grow. But with the other girls' support and unexpected help form an unlikely source, the future for the Liars doesn't look so hopeless. Meanwhile, "A" has Hanna jumping through old habit hoops with regard to the stolen money. Will Hanna fall back into her old ways, or does she have the will power to stand up to "A" and her games?

Hanna's return home from the hospital should be a joyous event, but being stuck in a wheelchair and feeling haunted by "A" makes her return feel more like a Hitchcock nightmare than a proper homecoming. Even though the girls try to put on their best effort to support Hanna, they all have troubles they have to face as well: Spencer is still reeling from Melissa's surprise, when an unexpected roadblock is thrown up in her relationship with Alex; Emily, on the other hand, is hoping that an introduction to Maya during a tense family meal will smooth all apprehensions her parents may have.

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer and those around them, must deal with the aftermath of what happened in Rosewood, PA one mysterious night.

"A" targets the girls once again as they attend an upscale camping trip for one of their friend's birthday party and they fear that "A" may want to crash the fun. The FBI becomes involved in Alison's murder case because of new evidence that they have found. Also, Ashley faces difficulties because of her financial situation.

In the aftermath of the disastrous homecoming dance, the girls try to sort out the devastation that is left behind. Parents, boyfriends (secret ones, possible ones and current ones), siblings and friends are all in flux, and if the little liars don't act fast, the situation could go from bad to worse. And to top it off, the girls are sitting on some killer information about Toby that some people would die to get their hands on. Meanwhile, "A" isn't the only one sending Aria text messages as tensions rise in the Montgomery household.

The homecoming decorating committee is knee deep in balloons, and girls are jockeying for position to be the queen, while four friends from Rosewood just try to stay afloat. Dealing with heartbreak, a boyfriend's virginity pledge and a vengeful sister all take a backseat when one girl makes a shocking homecoming date choice that puts her in a possibly sticky situation. Will the girls be able to protect one of their own, or will the evening turn out to be a night they can never forget?

Trying to ignore "A" backfired for the girls, and now they must pay the penalty. Whether it's a family in crisis, parental praise for an undeserved honor looming over their heads or wearing totally unfashionable scrubs while working off a debt – the girls must deal with it all. And on top of that, "A's" lipstick message is still haunting them. Meanwhile the girls must also deal with typical teenage drama – the boy kind – when a new boy arrives and pushes the status quo, a secret love is tested, a new romance blooms and an old romance is floating in the grey area.

Tired of being harassed by “A,” the girls decide to put a stop to the anonymous emails and text messages by blocking all unknown users. But even with the mysterious ghost no longer looming over their heads, the girls’ problems are far from over. With a surprise visit by a father, a surprise gift from a prospective paramour, getting some unwanted advice and an undeserved scholarly accolade, the girls’ lives continue to get more complicated by the day. And after dealing with all of that, did the Pretty Little Liars really think they could keep “A” away forever?

As the girls try to pay tribute to Alison's memory, the four friends are faced with unresolved issues. Aria has an unsettling encounter with her father's former mistress, Meredith.
