Liz heads to Chicago to get out of jury duty and on her flight back to New York she is assigned a seat next to Oprah. Liz seizes the opportunity to ask Oprah for advice with some of the problems she's been having. Back in New York, the feud continues between Tracy and Jenna; and Jack's morals are tested by Kenneth after an Olympics snafu.

Worried that Liz's hectic lifestyle may be too much to adopt a child, Bev, the adoption agent, visits the set. Panicked, Liz tells everyone to act normal, but chaos soon ensues as a fight arises between Jenna and Tracy. Meanwhile, Jack returns to 30 Rock and vows to do whatever it takes to get his position back from Devin.

Jack heads to Washington, D.C. to take on a new political role. However, the job is not what he had expected, so he teams up with Cooter, another government employee, to figure out how to get fired. Meanwhile, Liz adjusts to life at TGS without Jack; Kenneth prepares an essay for an application to be a page at the Summer Olympics, but Donny, the head page, keeps tripping him up; and Tracy works on an invention.

Liz's ex-boyfriend, Floyd, is stranded in New York overnight and needs a place to say so he calls Liz. Jack is demoted by the Board of Directors to the 12th floor, which causes him to think about his place with the company. Meanwhile, it's Sandwich Day at TGS where the Teamsters bring in sandwiches from a mysterious sandwich shop to all of the staff. But when Liz's sandwich is stolen, Tracy, Kenneth, Jenna and Frank try to figure out where the secret sandwich shop is.

Don decides to promote Jack over Devon, leading Jack to choose Liz as his successor because she always has his back. However, a change in Don's health threatens Jack's promotion. Meanwhile, Tracy thinks his son is embarrassed of him because he didn't invite him his school's Fathers' Day.

Jack wants to get the hero who stopped a possible subway accident booked for the show. The man ends up being Dennis, Liz's ex-boyfriend who hopes to win her back. Meanwhile, Jack is coming up with blanks while searching for a hip Republican celebrity for the weekends John McCain fund raising dinner, settling on Bucky Bright, an aging 1940's star. Not to be outdone, Jack turns to Tracey as a representative of the Republicans.

The staff have been avidly following the new reality hit, MILF Island, and as the finale airs, Jack's excitement over a ratings success is cut short by a column in the New Yorker. The column calls Jack a "class A moron" and that he can "eat my poo". Since Jack is in the running for Chairman, the article couldn't have come at a worse time. In order to find the employee who wrote the column, Jack has Jonathan turn the heat on in the writers' room until one confesses.

C.C. and Jack struggle to make their long-distance affair work while Liz dabbles in real estate.

A lustful Santa Claus joins the staff "Ludachristmas Party". Liz's parents and brother joins the festivities, along with a middle-aged man who believes he is a senior in high school. Jack's mother also joins in but to lack the Christmas spirit.

C.C. feels it's time time bring Jack and her unusual relationship into by the public eye. Also, Liz tends to the needs of her two diva stars, Tracy and Jenna.

Tracy's community service includes coaching a group of inner city Little League toughs, but trouble ensues when Jack causes problems when he tries to create a winning team. Back at the Rock, Liz starts dating a hunky coffee guy, 17 years younger than her.

Jack attends a party honoring Colin Powell and falls for a Democratic congresswoman named C.C. However, their polar opposite beliefs force them to try to be a couple under the radar. Meanwhile, Liz thinks her neighbor might be a terrorist after a series of events -- he won't shake Liz's hand, he helps Pete rewire the toaster, and has maps all over his house. Liz's paranoia gets the best of her and she calls the Homeland Security office.

With GE 'going green,' Jack must come up with an idea for a green mascot -- a Phillies-esque looking character named Greenzo. But when Greenzo's preaching becomes overly obnoxious at The Girlie Show, Liz gets fed up with the whole idea. Meanwhile, Kenneth plans his annual party, where Liz is the only one to ever show up, and Tracy spreads rumors to hype-up Kenneth's party but they soon get out of hand.

Liz meets Rosemary Howard, her idol, and asks her to be a guest writer on the show, but Rosemary's tendency for the radical, while something Liz admires, is not right for the network show. Jack pressures Liz to fire Rosemary, but Liz quits instead. Meanwhile, Jack has Tracy go to therapy in order to understand why he has to do the opposite of what he is told. Kenneth, his page jacket ruined by Jenna, has to compete to keep his job.

Jack hires a private investigator to prevent GE from discovering anything that can be used against him, but when Jack learns he has to give up his secret cookie jar collection, he is reluctant to do so. When Angie, Tracy's wife, decides to always be by his side to make sure he behaves, Liz thinks it's a great idea, but after being forced to cover for Tracy, she realizes it's not good to be on Angie's bad side. Jenna is reaping the career rewards of her recent weight gain, but she soon realizes she's returning to her previous, thinner size.

When Jack realizes that Don Geiss may be retiring, he goes head to head with Devin, who is now engaged to Don's daughter. To compete with Devin, Jack shows up at dinner and Don ends up inviting him to his house. However, when Kenneth accidentally reveals that Jack had a heart attack, Devin is confident that he can upstage him. Meanwhile, Jack and Jenna confront Liz about getting it together and Kenneth plots to get Tracy and his wife back together.

The gang returns from summer hiatus. Liz is excited to see Jack, but her attitude quickly changes when he tells her that she's not over Floyd. Jack also unveils his SeinfeldVision plan to Liz, which involves using footage from Seinfeld and putting him into current NBC shows. However, Jerry Seinfeld is not too thrilled about his idea. Meanwhile, during the summer, Jenna gained weight while doing the musical "Mystic Pizza: The Musical" and after Tracy is kicked out, Kenneth becomes his work wife.

With summer hiatus just around the corner, Liz deals with her long-distance relationship with Floyd. Kenneth is dispatched to track down Tracy. Meanwhile, Jack's impending marriage brings his mother to town.

Jack helsp his brother, Eddie, get a job with TGS, but can the staff deal with two Donaghys? Meanwhile, Liz has to make cutbacks and wonders if firing Other Liz would make her look bad.

Jack, needing to unload his family's line of wines, convinces Ghostface Killah and Ridikolus to endorse "Donaghy Estates" and introduce the next Cristal. Meanwhile, Ridikolus' girlfriend eyes Kenneth; and Tracy and Liz try to break up with Tracy's business manager.

Josh's contract is up, which gives Jack an opportunity to cut costs. Liz tries to keep Josh on the show so he doesn't get picked up by a rival show. Meanwhile, Tracy gives Kenneth the Page a spot in his entourage; and Jenna lands herself in hot water following a misquote.

After being harsh on Lutz, Liz overhears him criticizing her. Becuase of this, Liz decides to adapt a more lenient management system. Meanwhile, Jack takes Tracy to an exclusive GE charity golf game, but Jack's plan to use Tracy to get close to Don Geiss, GE's CEO backfires.

After the entire cast eats questionable seafood at the craft services table, they pull an all-nighter on Valentine's Day to put together a new show. Pete forgets the holiday, while Kenneth the Page and Cerie strike up a romance as Cerie is fighting with her Greek fiancé.

Liz contemplates whether or not she's on a date when she accompanies Jack to a birthday party for a foreign prince. There, Liz sees another side of Jack when he runs into his ex-wife. Back at the office, Tracy tempts Pete with a booze and babe party and Kenneth tries to keep Pete on the straight and narrow.

After running into "The Head" and "The Hair", two MSNBC guys, Liz and Jenna decide to get serious about their dating lives, but find themselves switching their typical roles when Liz admits she's falling for "The Hair". Jack and Kenneth switch office roles for "Bottoms Up" day.

Jenna awaits the release of her indie film, The Rural Juror and the writers confess they hate the tongue-twister title. Meanwhile, Tracy, in need of financial help, goes to Jack for advice on creating his own celebrity product.

Cerie, the teenage receptionist, announces her engagement to a Greek shipping heir, which leads Liz to contemplate her own marital status.

Done with the antics of Dennis, Liz breaks up with him and hits the New York singles scene with Jenna. Jack has relationship problems of his own when he begins to see the woes in dating a high-ranking Bush administration official. The spat between Toofer and Tracy results in sensitivity training for them.

Jack bumps Jenna's appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and books Tracy in her place. Jenna, still upset with the show's name change to TGS with Tracy Jordan, takes her anger out on Liz. Things take another turn for the worst when Tracy's off of his medication and Kenneth the Page is dispatched to track down his perscription.

Liz gets back together with her ex after he asks her to. Upon hearing this, Jack thinks Liz's life is heading towards mediocrity and sets out to be her mentor. Meanwhile, Liz has to deal with the cast members physical changes -- Tracy got a face tatoo; Jenna received collagen and botox injections; and Josh has two black eyes after a bad run-in with Elizabeth Taylor.

Jack pressures Liz to work GE products into her show, which prompts her to put Jack himself into a sketch. While Jack prepares for the sketch, Frank and Toofer trick Jenna into thinking her job is in danger. Meanwhile, Liz begins to think Tracy is faking illiteracy.

Kenneth the Page learns that working for Tracy is more than he expected. Liz continues to try to keep Jack away from the writers' room while trying to keep Cerie clothed.

Thinking he can fix the show and Liz's sex life, Jack arranges a blind date for her with his friend Thomas. As Liz prepares for her date, Jack joins the writers' poker game.

Liz has to face her writers to keep things from falling apart as Jack pushes new creative changes to the writing staff. The cast deals with Tracy's antics, but in the midst of it all, Tracy ends up being the one to unite the cast and staff.

Liz Lemon is living every writer's dream -- the head writer for a live variety show that stars her best friend, Jenna Maroney. But her world is thrown off track when Jack Donaghy is hired as the new network executive. He begins to interfere with the show and convinces Liz to hire Tracy Jordan, a wild movie star. Jack later has Liz spend time with Tracy before she rejects him and she ends up swept up in his entourage.
